Bound in original black cloth boards with title in gilt to the spine. The binding is square and tight and in smart condition with just a hint of bumping to the top of the spine. Inside, the pages are clean and bright and in excellent condition, with no marking or signs of wear. The book is in beautiful, collectible condition.

This very smart book is housed in its original, unclipped, dust jacket, which is in equally clean and bright condition, free from marks or damage apart from a little bumping to the top of the spine. In all, this book would make the perfect addition to any le Carre collection..

In all, this is a lovely smart example of this signed first edition by popular author, John le Carre. It is his first post-war novel, and details an undercover operation to bring down a major international arms dealer. The protagonist, Jonathan Pine, the Night manager, is a former soldier. The novel is about his determination to bring down Richard Roper, the worst man in the world , and his criminal enterprise. The novel was adapted to a tv series in 2016, starring Tom Hiddleston as Jonathan Pine and Hugh Laurie as Roper. This is a smart and collectible example of this novel, particularly collectible flat signed by le Carre, and it would be an excellent addition to any collection.
